Feng Shui Humor
Sometimes you just have to take things easy. This is the time!
From the Eight Mansions system, we have this concept of Ming (Life) Kua. Everyone of us has a Kua number and this is derived from our date of birth. If your Kua number is 1,3,4 or 9 you belong to the East Group. If your number Kua is 2,6,7 or 8 you belong to the West Group. Each group have a set of auspicious and inauspicious directions.
For
the East group the auspicious directions are North, South, East and South East
while the inauspicious directions are North West, North East, West and South
West. For the West Group the directions are completely reversed. The problem
arise when the husband and wife belongs to
different Kua Groups.
His good directions are her bad ones and vice-versa. Does it mean then that they
should sleep on different beds each orientated in their good directions?
In Feng Shui, there are methodologies to identify the auspicious and inauspicious
sectors in a house. Some sectors bring excellent wealth luck while others provide
support for romance, health etc. The head of the household should sleep in an
auspicious sector because if he does well then the whole family benefits. But what
can he do if he finds that his bedroom is in an inauspicious sector?
It is a common practice in many systems of Feng Shui to place the toilet in one of the inauspicious sectors since placing the toilet in the auspicious sectors however may affect the luck related to that sector. There is another non-classical system where each sector of the house is associated with one important aspect of your life for example romance, wealth, health, family etc. The question then is where should we place the toilet since every sector is auspicious?
I am sure you know by now that I am just kidding. Couple from different Kua groups can sleep on the same bed and face the same direction and you certainly do not need to move into your sister-in-law's room! There are ways to overcome these challenges.
