It is not uncommon for me to receive emails from my website visitors asking me whether it is okay to shift the toilet that is located in the center to the left.
Do you see a problem here? You see, left while looking into the house and left while looking out are two completely different locations.
But why I am I telling you this?
I know this couple from way back. Her name is Angeline and his is Garry. They are a loving couple who are in the contacting business together. During one of our conversation together, I brought up this ‘problem of relativity’.
Garry said that he too faces the same problem everyday. In fact they have an even bigger problem that that it their client wants to know how the living room will look like after the renovation.
In the past they have to resort to drawing 3D perspectives. Today they use a notebook computer, software and a whole lot of mouse clicking and dragging!
You see Garry and Angeline is a new generation contractor who uses technology to show his clients their ‘dream home’ even before a single brick is laid or removed.

This computer thing makes me wonder if Feng Shui consultants too will in the near future carry notebook computers with them and show to their clients how their main door will look like after it is moved to an auspicious location and tilted to match the Kua of the home owner. Hmmm!
In the meantime, I will just ask my website visitors and client to tell me whether it is on the left or right while looking out of the front of the house! ;)
