Feng Shui Questions
I am a Rabbit. Is this Good Year for me?
The Twelve Animals zodiac is a popular system of fortune telling within the
Chinese community. There are 12 animals in this system namely the rat, ox,
tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.
You are assigned the animal sign of the
year that you are born. Click the link below to find out which animal sign you belong to.

Based on this system, you will display personalities that are associated with
the animal sign. For examples, if you are born in the year of the roosters you
will be flamboyant, and strut around like their animal counterpart! On a more
serious note, you are likely to be independent, knowledgeable, resourceful yet
very sensitive and vulnerable on the inside.
In addition, the luck of the rooster will also fluctuate, good or bad, based
on a pre-determined system. For example, roosters is expected to do badly in the
years of the rabbit.
But just how accurate is this system?
In the Chinese system of time keeping, your year, month, day and time of birth are each of these elements are represented by a combination of heavenly system and earthly branch [writing stems and branches]. Thus there are 8 "characters" in your date and time of birth. In more advanced systems such as the Four Pillars of Destiny (Ba Zi) all eight characters (actually more) are analyzed to reveal your character and luck cycle. In the hands of a competent practitioner, it can reveal a surprising lot about you and your potential throughout your life.
The Twelve Animals Zodiac uses just one of the (sometimes two) characters of the year to reveal your character and fortune. This is obviously less accurate than the Four Pillars (Ba Zi) system.
It is like examining a second hand car's engine and upon finding it to be
good, declaring the car to be a good buy. Actually there could be a leak in the
braking system and gearbox may require a major overhaul. Overall the car may be a
bad buy!
Similarly, based on the Twelve Animal system, while you should be experiencing a bad year, the other elements of your month, day and time could give you a "lift" and the year may not be as bad after all!
